Hello! My name is Emmeline, but I usually go by Pollution (sometimes abbreviated pltn) online. I'm an astronautics student in her twenties based in Arizona with a hobby for writing and drawing, among other things.
Throughout this site, you can find links to some of my SNS profiles, some of my dream diary and art archives from the past couple years, and links to some games I've worked on. It's a work in progress, but I hope you find it enjoyable to scrounge around.
I'm kind of a workaholic, so I don't have many hobbies. I often feel guilty for indulging in too much pleasure, and it often seems like I'm just wasting my time if I'm not drawing, writing, reading, or studying. Though, I'm trying to get better at that.
I like to watch sad drama movies like Mysterious Skin, Suicide Room, and All About Lily Chou-Chou. I enjoy watching crane climbing videos on YouTube while I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Recently, I've been watching a lot of drama anime from Nippon Animation about various fairy tales.
Some games I like to play might be Tetris, Animal Crossing, or FTL: Faster Than Light. Although it isn't generally considered a game, I also have a bit of an addiction to typing tests. I'm most active on Monkeytype and TypeRacer. I can't help but think of it as anything other than addiction, even though it's a reasonable pasttime to have that doesn't hurt anyone. I just can't help blaming myself. Sometimes I like to call myself the fastest Dvorak typist in Arizona, just because nobody has come to prove me wrong yet for something so obscure (~200WPM). It also makes me feel like a cowboy.
I've been an avid visual novel reader since 2021 or so. Some of my favorites have been Little Busters and Kara no Shoujo. From time to time I'll read books in English, though if I'm going to read something other than in Japanese it's probably gonna be Wikipedia. I guess I like to read about history primarily.
This site is programmed and maintained pretty much entirely by @lettherigh74324 on Twitter! Thank you so much.
I'm really grateful for all of the support and encouragement I've received over SNS for my work. While I'm not a very social person, and get overwhelmed easily, I hope you guys know it means a lot to me. New work is currently in progress, so I hope you'll stick around. If you'd like to contact me for any reason, my DMs are open! Don't worry, I probably won't bite.
Anywho, please enjoy yourself!
